In the last year or so, the OVA has been announced, previewed, and even screened in limited form.
Now, in an interview with Comic Book Resources, OPUS director Shigeru Mizuki has revealed a new trailer for the film.
The trailer opens with the main cast of OPUII and a bunch of other characters sitting around a table.
They’re all gathered together for a Q&A session.
The conversation is about OPU II’s development.
The film is said to be based on a manga by Yoshiki Tanaka that debuted in the 1980s.
The movie will be produced by the same team behind the original OVA, but the director has said that they’ll be focusing more on characters like OPU and the others from the manga.
Mizuki says that the characters will be “big and strong” and will be portrayed by some of his favorite actors.
He says that they’re all looking forward to working with a group of actors that have “familiarity with their roles.”
You can watch the trailer above.
We’ll be bringing you all the new information as it comes to light.
