By now, most of us have heard of Razer, the company that manufactures gaming peripherals for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It was founded in 2014 by Andrew Cunningham and Andrew Goldfarb, who later joined the tech startup Razer.
In 2017, Razer announced that it was acquiring an equity stake in Blizzard, becoming the largest gaming company in the world.
The deal, which was announced by Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime, raised a lot of eyebrows, but the company ultimately ended up making a significant amount of money.
Razer’s share price, meanwhile, was around $1.4 billion, which means that for a company with a modest operating budget and $1 billion in revenue, it is incredibly profitable.
The company is currently in the process of rebranding, and in a recent earnings call, Razer CEO and co-founder Andrew Cunningham revealed that he had been working on a game that he was calling The Order: 1886.
While it was not officially announced at the time, Cunningham was clearly working on the game, and he also confirmed that he planned to unveil it at BlizzCon, a major gaming convention.
At BlizzCon last year, Cunningham showed off The Order at a panel entitled “A Game That Will Be As Good As…
Everything,” in which he explained the story behind the game.
The order itself is a game of sorts, in which players choose a character and embark on a quest to a mysterious island to fight the invading army of a ruthless monarch named Tyria.

In a recent interview with GameSpot, Cunningham explained that he wanted to make a game set in a world that was familiar to fans of the first Assassin’s Creed games.
In addition to his game, Cunningham also discussed how his company plans to continue to grow and expand in the future.
“It’s definitely going to be an expansion, a continuation of what we’ve done, but it’s also going to add a lot more features and more variety,” Cunningham said.
“There’s going to come a time when we’ve got to go into the future and take this to the next level and do something bigger than what we’re doing now.”
Gaming companies can have a difficult time making a profit, but Cunningham seems confident in the long-term viability of The Order.
“The Order is one of those games where if we’re going to go in and make another one of these, I think we’re well positioned to do so,” he said.
In the meantime, Cunningham said that he plans to stay focused on making games for his fans, and is eager to share more details about the game in the near future.
